“Nothing is rolling out its first major software update for the Nothing Phone 2a, an affordable smartphone. Named Nothing OS 2.5.4, this update aims to make the phone’s camera, gaming, and overall performance better while fixing various bugs.
Enhancing the camera is a big part of this update. Nothing is working to improve color accuracy, saturation, and overall camera quality. They’re also fixing the gap between the main and ultrawide sensors for better colors. Plus, they’re hinting at making Ultra XDR photos and Bokeh effects in Portrait Mode better for users.
Apart from camera improvements, Nothing OS 2.5.4 promises smoother animations when opening and closing apps. Gamers can look forward to better performance, especially in popular games like BGMI. The update also improves the animation for the Recorder widget, making the overall user experience better.
On the bug-fixing side, the update addresses various issues. It solves flickering problems when opening apps from the lock screen and fixes abnormal home and lock screen wallpaper displays. Also, it corrects Wi-Fi or cellular data information shown in Quick Settings and prevents the screen from blacking out during calls, making the experience more stable.
For current Phone 2a owners, the update will be available for download in the “System Update” section of system settings. This shows Nothing’s dedication to making its devices better and giving users a great experience.”
